Basic Tips Every Android User Should Know

1. Do a Google search from anywhere

One of the best things about having an Android device is the tight integration of Google services. In the latest versions of the Google search app for Android they have enabled users to do searches from anywhere. All you have to do is turn on your phone and say " Ok, Google. '' It's fast and super handy when you want to quickly find something. Here's how to do it :
- Open the Google search app

-  Go to Settings > Voice

-  Go to " OK Google Detection "

-  Enable ''From any screen "

-  Train your app to recognize your voice.

2. Make your phone snappy with faster animations

One of the most common complaints about Android is “lagginess.” For whatever reason Google has never been able to get Android on the same buttery smooth level as iOS or even Windows Phone. In the last few versions they have made some serious improvements, but if you still feel like your phone is a little laggy there is a trick for speeding things up. Google has hidden some secret developer options inside the Settings. Inside the secret developer options is settings for animation and transition speed. Here’s how to speed things up.

  1. Open Settings > About phone
  2. Scroll down and tap on “Build number” 7 times
  3. Now go back to Settings and you should see new “Developer options”
  4. Adjust the window and transition animation scales to .5x or turn them off completely.

 3. Super Charge WiFi

Did you know in Google Chrome's settings you can tell your favorite browser to save you time and money by reducing your data usage? No? Most people don't. By using this setting, I've cut my data usage by 30 percent in the last month. How's that for easy savings? Go to Chrome > Settings > Reduce Data Usage and turn it on.

Likewise, did you know you can tell your phone to avoid poor Wi-Fi connections and Just go to Settings > Wi-Fi > Advanced Wi-Fi Optimization and turn it on to save battery while Wi-Fi is on. While you're at it, be sure to check the box to avoid poor Wi-Fi connections so you're not sucking precious battery power trying to connect to crappy Wi-Fi. Always keeping your Wi-Fi on while asleep also saves battery life by not having to constantly reconnect every time you wake your phone up.

4. Android Customization

This is another cool trick to play. You can see animations on your android devices such Nexus , Samsung , Tablets n ICS devices also.

Go to Settings > About Phone > Android Version

Then Tap on Android Version Multiple times to show Your Default IN-Built Customized Android Animation.

5. Uninstalling or Disabling Apps

Delve into Settings > Apps and flick over to the 'All' tab to find a complete list of your apps. Anything there that you don't use is a candidate for the uninstall pile. In their infinite wisdom, carriers and manufacturers sometimes block you from uninstalling their apps, but you usually have the option to disable them instead and it's worth doing.
